Challenge

The CWLS needed a mapping application to provide simple searching and viewing of water resistivity information across Canada. The existing data was stored in a large PDF file. It worked, but was not as easy or efficient to navigate.

Solution

Claero Systems provided a solution integrated in to their existing website. A new server was installed and hosted to provide the mapserver functionality. The land GIS data was purchased from Altalis and the application was created by customizing some existing open source software.

Results

CWLS members will have (to be launched August 2005) access to a dynamic map-based application to find a review water resistivity data.

Challenge

The CWLS was booking luncheons via telephone and they were looking for a more convenient way for their members to register.

Solution

Claero Systems provided a solution integrated in to their existing website. A new module was created that allows members and non-members from signing up for and paying for luncheons online.

Results

CWLS members have been successfully using the online luncheon feature since November 2006.

Challenge

The CWLS was renewing memberships via email based web forms, a Filemaker database, and telephone. It was very time consuming tracking the renewals and keeping the database up to date.

Solution

Claero Systems provided a solution integrated in to their existing website. A new module was created that allows members to renew their membership online, and also for new members to sign up online. The payment and database maintenance is completely automated but still provides for alternate payment methods via telephone or cheque.

Results

CWLS members have been successfully using the online membership application and renewal module since November 2005.
