Challenge

Praxis created and was renting a web site application to several of its clients. The application was in need of a complete rewrite and continued maintenance and development. Praxis also wanted to implement a graphical based map interface to the data, among other things.

Solution

Claero Systems completed a full rewrite of the application in January 2006. Every month since then Claero has completed revisions to the application. This web-based application includes a single code base that is used by multiple clients with their own databases for security reasons. The site also uses Ajax suggest features, dynamic HTML and PDF reporting of live data, MapServer implementation for GIS browsing of the data, email notifications, calendar functions with iCal compatability, and various import and export features.

Results

The existing customers were very happy with the new system and Praxis has been able to bring on several new clients who are all taking advantage of the application.

Challenge

The Praxis Group was interested in understanding what options are available for online public consultations.

Solution

Claero Systems completed some research and proof of concept work and provided a brief report on each option to Praxis.

Praxis was better informed on the existing solutions.
