Craig Nakamoto

Craig graduated from the University of Waterloo in Computer Science. While earning his degree he spent work terms at Bell Northern Research in Kanata, Ontario in computer programming and at TransCanada PipeLines in Calgary, Alberta working in voice and data support.

Upon his graduation, Craig accepted a position at TransCanada PipeLines. For seven years Craig acquired a diverse range of experience beginning on the computer help desk and ending with the international network design team. From cabling and computer repairs to customer service to multi-million dollar network design projects Craig developed skills in project management and communications.

During this time he worked with most of the telephone companies in Canada and many of the large computer hardware and software vendors.

After moving to Ottawa, Craig started his consulting career at MicroWorks - a small business computer consulting company. Performing all tasks from management to sales to network design and implementation, Craig developed a strong desire to work in consulting.

Leaving MicroWorks on good terms, Craig then moved to Toronto and was hired by Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. Experience gained working with professional consultants at this level was invaluable. Much of Craig's time was spent working under pressure, dealing with difficult situations, and understanding complex problems. He was also part of the Cap Gemini Ernst & Young International DareStep team which specializes in merging creative and technical skills to develop Internet based applications.

Craig's final project with Cap Gemini was the Canadian Tire Web Store project. Craig was asked to fill the role of lead architect. He spent 9 months overseeing the design and implementation of the first and second release of www.canadiantire.ca. In addition to assisting with the overall technical design he also completed some software development for the EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) team and the Java development team.

Claero Systems is a dream that Craig has wanted to achieve since he graduated from university almost ten years ago. Craig brings with him a solid technical background, excellent communications skills, and some very strong enthusiasm.
